Itaconic Anhydride

Itaconic anhydride can be obtained through the dehydration of biosynthetic itaconic acid. Since it contains two reactive groups (an acid anhydride ring group and a vinylidene group), it becomes an important polymer monomer in the production of polymer materials. Based on the excellent properties, itaconic anhydride can be widely used in the production of synthetic resins, synthetic fibers, ion exchange resins, surfactants, boiler descaling agents, lubrication additives, adhesives, non-toxic packaging materials, herbicides and insecticides and other raw materials or additives.
