DNA sequence analysis
- DNA sequence analysis refers to the process of comparing the obtained DNA sequences with standard nucleic acid sequences and phylogenetic analysis, and then combining them with the determination criteria for microbial species identification.
- Commonly used DNA sequence analysis includes 16S rDNA, 26S rDNA, ITS rDNA, householder gene sequence, whole genome sequence analysis, etc.
Observation of strain morphology
- Strain morphology mainly contains colony morphology and bacteriophage morphology.
- Strains under certain conditions will form different colony characteristics, such as the differences in morphology, size, color, texture, shape, exudate, soluble pigment, etc., which is an important basis for measuring the purity of the strain and identifying the type of strains.
MALDI-TOF MS identification
- MALDI-TOF MS（Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry) is a rapid and accurate identification technique based on Ribosomal protein fingerprint of strains.
- MALDI-TOF MS is a fast, sensitive and accurate method for strain identification.
